Volunteers play an important role in the operation of the Merritt & District Chamber of Commerce. All Board members are volunteers who spend anywhere from 3 to 10 hours a month on Chamber activities by attending Board meetings, networking events and/or assisting other Chamber members with their business concerns, and perhaps performing minor administrative duties.

During the year, there may be several committees needed for different events such as the AGM, Business Awards Gala, Street Mall, etc.
